Trouble ~ {Louisville, KY Child/Family Photographer}

Trouble...with a capital "T"! That's what Cass's parents are in for. Not only do they have to worry about their eldest, Audrey (she makes a cameo below), being followed constantly by love sick boys, but they also have Cassidy to worry about. Two beautiful girls...LOTS of trouble in about 15 years. ;)

This shoot...was all about Cass though. We had originally scheduled it back at the beginning of September when Cass had just turned one, however she was just not feeling it that morning. So, we waited a couple of weeks and tried again... a little simpler this time. Oh and had Cass come around! She was SO fun to shoot...I couldn't stop pushing the shutter release! Those eyes. That smile! That dress! OMG, to die for...literally! :)

And of course...we did take a few family shots. I didnt post any (except the one below) due to the fact that I dont know if they will be using them for holiday cards. I didnt want to ruin it for them. :) So, the image below is the Speak To Me Image. LOVE it!

I was so excited when Danielle contacted me to schedule Dean's one year photo shoot. Why? Well...after a while, doing shoot after shoot, of different ages, I have found myself LOVING certain ages. One year olds are probably my favorite age to shoot. Why? Cause they are just learning to walk...which means they aren't fast, yet they can stand...and they aren't sick of the camera! In fact, they are fascinated by the big black contraption that makes clicking noises. :) This is not to say that others are dreadful...not at all! I do LOVE all ages...there are just some that are a big more challenging than others (like...a 3 year old runner that has zero time nor tolerance for the lady behind the camera! ;)).

Dean. What can I say? He makes it look easy. :)

What is a first birthday without balloons?


LOVE LOVE LOVE the next two. In fact, someday, when I have my own studio, I see these two on very large canvases, hanging on my studio walls. I LOVE them!

The only words that come to mind when I first saw Anna is:
"Are your freakin' KIDDING me?"
And the only words that came to mind when I was editing Anna's shoot was:
"Are you FREAKIN' kidding me??"

No, seriously...are you freakin' kidding me right now? She is SO cute! Quite possibly THE cutest thing I have ever seen! I have no words...she is just so freakin' cute! :)

(HUGE thanks goes to Anna's kind parents for braving one of the hottest evenings of the summer! We shot for about 45 minutes...and all walked away drenched in sweat! Oh SO worth it!)

Today my kids are at their Great Grandparents house and I am using the "free" time to work on some photo shoots. It is almost 3pm...I have been working on this particular photo shoot since 11am. I worked on it during nap time yesterday...

About a half an hour ago, I found myself saying: "Self, WHY is this shoot taking so long to finish??!?!", then I realized that I was on picture number 80. That is 80 EDITED images!!! There are SO many amazingly cute photos of these two siblings, that I can't choose the best ones to edit and show!!! :) I LOVE when that happens!!!

Meet Clara and Colin (again). You all met them last Christmas when I did Colin's newborn pictures, and a few Christmas photos of both of them. We have also seen Clara in her cute Halloween costume at last year's Halloween Event (yes, I will be having another one this year, more to come on that later!!). I cannot get enough of these two...and I am so glad that their awesome parents keep me busy! :)

A little note: I live with brown eyes. I have brown eyes, my husband has brown eyes, and both of my kids have brown eyes (we are talking BLACK!)! I love it, however it makes me really notice non-brown eyes, like, you know...blue eyes. :) Colin and Clara have blue eyes...we are talking "stop dead in your tracks" blue eyes. Take a gander below...and keep in mind that I did not do ANYTHING to their eyes in the editing process...WOW!



Clara wore her adorable little outfit from dance...OMG...girl stuff (I am surrounded by boys) is so foreign to me! I LOVE it!


Colin...well, what can you say? He is probably one of the most adorable 8 month old on the planet! :)


And what is a photo shoot with me, without the details? You know me...I LOVE feet...and legs...with tutus!

Ahhh...18 month olds! I love them! They have NO patience for the camera...nor do they have any interest in the clicking of the camera (like 2 or 3 year olds do). Getting them to look at the camera is a challenge...but fun none the less. 18 month old are so curious...the world is so new to them! Just as it should be. No worries, just interest, in everything.

This is Ava...she is 18 months...and VERY inquisitive. :) We walked around McNeely Lake...and she wanted to swim! She wanted to play with the ducks...she wanted to get her feet muddy...and she wanted to do it all herself! It was a joy spending the morning and exploring the world with her! She is a dream...and a cute one at that!

What is better than hanging out and taking pictures of the cutest kids on the planet? Taking pictures of the cutest kids on the planet and playing catch-up with their Mom! :) I took pictures of D & D last October, and my how they have grown in 6 months!!! It was so great to get out (although a big chilly) and play catch-up with their beautiful Momma, and play catch-up with the camera! Enjoy!

Sneak Peak: Ava

Really, it doesn't get any cuter than a first birthday. And a tutu! Ava was so fun to follow around. It was a little chilly, and she was a true trooper! I am so in love with the pictures...I honestly couldn't decide which ones to "Sneak Peak". So, why not do a picture overload?!?! :) Enjoy!

Sneak Peak: Cali

Talk about full circle...and HOPEFULLY much improved. I had the great, great pleasure to work with this sweet little thing again. Cali was the subject of one of my first, ever, photo shoots (that wasn't my kids). I am so honored that her mom trusted me to capture Cali a year later! Oh what fun we had! Tutus, cakes, beads, tiaras, pink...pink...and more pink! I had a blast!!!
